Bachelor of Science (Hons) Statistics

I'm back !  it's freaking 2019 and that also means i will be 20 years old on october 30 MasyaAllahhhhhhhh **cries in algebraic expression** k tukar sikitlah twenty tu jadi twenteen (pujuk diri sendiri). i legit cant imagine where's my life going to lead me in the next 4 or 5 years. cut the crap.. tengok tajuk, so i akan provide info for course Statistics ni

First of all,info ni for those yg dapat/teringin nak apply at UiTM. Second of all, course ni available di Shah Alam, Seremban dan Machang. So pihak UiTM akan tetapkan campus untuk you guys memana ja ikut quota. goodluck ah kalau dapat Machang hahahaha. Kalau dapat campus Mache (also known as Machester) , sem1 and sem 2 campus di machang, sem 3-6 , you guys akan pindah ke campus Kota Bharu. 

Admission Requirements

1. STPM or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and grade C+ (GPA2.33) in Mathematics S/Mathematics T/Further Mathematics T and one (1) other subject excluding General Paper.

AND

Passed SPM/its equivalent with credits in Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Additional Science/ Science and pass in English.

OR

2. Asasi UiTM/PASUM/Matriculation KPM with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in and at least grade C+ (GPA 2.33) in two (2) subjects including Mathematics/ Engineering Mathematics and grade C (GPA 2.0) in one (1) other subject.

AND

Passed SPM/its equivalent with credits in Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/Additional Science/Science and a pass in English.

OR

3. A diploma from Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, UiTM, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

OR

4. A diploma in Science from Faculty of Applied Sciences, UiTM, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and one (1) year of working experience in relevant fields.

OR

5. A relevant diploma from UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

AND

Passed SPM or its equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Government of Malaysia, with at least credit in Additional Mathematics.

OR

6. A relevant diploma from UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and one (1) year of working experience in related fields.

AND

Passed SPM or its equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Government of Malaysia, with at least credit in Additional Mathematics.

OR

7. A relevant diploma from other institutions which is recognized by the Government of Malaysia, with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

AND

Passed SPM/its equivalent with 5 credits including Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics and Physics/ Chemistry/ Additional Science/ Science and a pass in English.

OR

8. A related diploma from other institutions which is recognized by the Government of Malaysia, with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and one (1) year of working experience in related fields.

AND

Passed SPM/its equivalent with 5 credits including Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics and Physics/ Chemistry/ Additional Science/ Science and a pass in English.

Note: All applicants must pass MUET with minimum score of Band 2.

I currently in semester 2 (Machang) and duduk rumah sewa nearby the campus. And banyak ja rumah/bilik sewa for students yg takdapat kolej. choose wisely okey.

So about this course, first sem, you guys wajib masuk Kesatria as Kokurikulum. And markah ko ni akan ada dalam semester result so, do the best lah. Then, you guys will learn about 

1. Probability and Statistics (STA400)

This basically ulang balik the permutation, choose. and of course ada benda lain yang advance. for STA400 ni, kalau repeat past years banyak kali, confirm senang senang ja A solid. Yang penting jaga carry mark kalau taknak struggle teruk in final. 

2. Calculus II (MAT441)

This is the pain weh i must say. Korang memang kena banyak buat latihan, jangan tinggal langsung. Always tanya bila tak dapat catch up. Repeat past years banyak kali gak. Also, i suggestkan banyak read materials in English and find the synonyms sebab final paper i, the English is fine but they replace word 'integrate this'.... to ' find the area under the curve blablabla' . You going to relearn the differentiation, integration, tests for convergences, and trigonometry . At first kalau test ke quiz ke apa, you guys possibly rasa cam " kalau quiz/test nak kena study banyak ni, apatah lagi final. banyak gilaaaaa" . k well at least that was how i felt hehe but i made it Alhamdulillah ! walaupun cuma A- but thats fine hehe. for me, tak kisah course apa pun, kalau your course ada subject Calculus, please la score. at least A- . Because someone once said kalau jaga Calculus, insyaAllah pointer okay. So i hold on with the principe. Oh, kalau ada buku Calculus yang tebal tu, takyah beli new one. kalau takda, better you beli kalau you jenis need to rujuk real text instead of jotted notes in class.

3. Fundamental of Research ( STA420)

okay on serious note, please la baca, khatam buku text. please beli buku research tu albeit it costs RM139 (4++ pages ja wehhhh i kenot brain dis). And then, buat lah past years. Dalam past years tu, you guys akan perasan yang ada soalan yang lecturer tak pernah mention pun. So, kena rujuk buku juga.  Lecturer tak ajar semua Therefore, belilah buku tu, dan baca ya anak anak. You guys akan belajar ethics in research, characteristics of good research, literature review, and everything from a to z to guide you guys with the proposal . worth it sangat sangat. on week 14, you guys akan kena submit proposal . the proposal basically pasal your research on something. My group buat proposal on The Effect of Stress on Fulltime Degree Students in UiTM Machang. 

4. Fundamental of Computer Problem Solving (CS415)

Those yang takda basic computer science, dont worry. You can always ask your lecturer or friends . I pun takda basic dalam csc and i asked like alottttttttt to my friends. for csc, BUAT BANYAK LATIHAN (write programs) AND TOLONGLAH INSTALL BORLAND C++ dalam your laptop. at least you can redo the tutorial yang you buat dalam lab on your own. truth be told, i struggle gila subject ni sebab takda basic kan so i was quite scared. Thank lord, lecturer and friends help me a lot. got A- for this subject hehe Alhamdulillah. for week 14, you guys akan ada project where segala you belajar coding akan di apply dalam project tu ( a group project ). Contoh, my group buat Stadium Kelantan's Football Ticketing System. Dalam project tu, we wrote the program, the scope, design algorithm . Trust me, bila you dapat compile and no error bila run program, you would paint the town red (walaupun it takes so much time!)

5. Titas (Islamic and Asian Civilization)

Basically, relearn about the tamadun but deeper

at the end of the day, after countless sleepless night, darker dark circles, fatter fats under eyes just because you burn the midnight oil for studying, please jaga hubungan dengan Tuhan, parents, lecturers and friends. Have faith in Allah. And soon, He will grant you and you shall be well pleased.

Doakan i boleh maintain on AD sampai semester 7 so that i can make my mom proud when i receive Vice Chancellor Award . Amin !
